Windows

At Wiveliscombe Joinery we know how important it is to make the right choices when it comes to the appearance of your home and the windows and doors are key to making you feel proud every time you pull up outside.

Our experienced team will take the time to discuss the finer details involved, from the choice of window style, frame size, cill detail, glass specification, materials and finish.

From modern homes to listed properties, we’ll listen to your thoughts and advise on a solution that’s not only in keeping but enhances your home.

We work in a range of hardwoods, are a registered Accoya joinery manufacturer and have an in-house spray booth which allows us full control over the finishing process.

All of our made to measure windows can be glazed in-house or on site in either double, triple or heritage glazing, where listed building consent is a factor.

For casement windows we can offer three options, flush casement, storm flush and storm proof.

The flush casement is the traditional style of joinery window with a long history in the UK. The opening section (or ‘sash’) sits flush with the window frame on the outside and uses classic butt hinges and ironmongery . Storm flush is a modern take on this design and incorporates a friction hinge and locking system. Storm proof (also known as lipped casements) uses the same friction hinge and locking system as storm flush, but has the opening section rebated and sitting proud of the face of the window frame.

If it’s sash windows you’re after, we have that covered too. Our skilled team can manufacture traditional lead weight, box sash windows to a modern standard or the modern alternative using a spiral balanced opening system. We’ll be able to guide you through the decision making process to arrive at the perfect solution for your home.
